Sheriff’s Dept. says guns seized from teenage gang members in Palm Springs

Two teenage felons were arrested after deputies pulled them over in Palm Springs and allegedly found them to be in possession of two loaded guns, one of which had been reported stolen, sheriff’s officials said Saturday.

The teens were taken into custody at around 11:30 a.m. Friday at Los Felices Circle and San Rafael Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities said the suspects are 16 and 17 years old and were documented gang members.

Deputies also served a search warrant at a residence in the 66000 block of Two Bunch Palms Trail in Desert Hot Springs and found additional evidence related to the investigation, sheriff’s officials said.

Both teens were booked into juvenile hall in Indio on suspicion of
various gun crimes.
