“This online auction leading up to our twentieth anniversary in 2025 is our biggest and most exciting yet,” said Mark Davis, Modernism Week’s theater and travel producer.

Some standout items include a private twilight tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and a stay in a 1958 Wright house. There’s also a chance to join the sold-out “Modernism In Havana, Cuba” Week tour in March 2025.

Closer to home, bidders can try for a four-night stay in the “Shag Room” at the midcentury modern Del Marcos Hotel, with tickets to exclusive Modernism Week events thrown in.

Art lovers can bid on several original, signed, and certified Julius Shulman photographs, including classic silver gelatin prints of iconic modernist homes.

The auction raises funds for Modernism Week, a 501(c)(3) charity that provides scholarships to local Palm Springs students pursuing architecture and design education. It also supports grants for preserving modernist architecture across California.

Davis adds, “Modernists are realizing that our annual online auction offers one-of-a-kind architectural experiences and unique products they can’t find anywhere else.”

The online bidding starts at noon on Dec. 1 at modernismweek.com. Winners will be announced after bidding ends on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m.

Modernism Week’s main 11-day festival is set for Feb. 13-23, 2025, marking two decades of celebrating midcentury modern design, architecture, art, and culture.
