“Modernism Week welcomes visitors from around the world to discover the architecture, design and culture that make Palm Springs a global destination for Modernism,” said Lisa Vossler Smith, CEO of Modernism Week. “Our diverse lineup of programs offers experiences for a range of interests and budgets.
“We’re particularly grateful to the homeowners who open their doors, giving visitors a rare opportunity to experience these architectural treasures firsthand.”
Leggs, of the National Trust, will give the keynote address, titled “Leadership at a Consequential Moment,” on Feb. 13. Tickets are $35 for the presentation only and $125 for the presentation and a VIP reception.
“We are thrilled to feature Brent Leggs of the National Trust as our keynote speaker this year,” said Chairman William Kopelk. “His organization’s ongoing work helps create preservation safeguards and engages the public in an active dialogue about the importance of honoring cultural heritage.
“This perfectly aligns with the work that Modernism Week continues to do each year as we unite with other organizations and forge new global relationships to offer education and guidance on topics like preservation, restoration, and celebrating cultural distinctiveness.”
