Modernism Week to feature more than 450 events in February
The 11-day festival in Palm Springs will include home tours, architectural bus rides, parties and educational talks celebrating midcentury modern design. Tickets go on sale Nov. 1.

Modernism Week will return to the Palm Springs area Feb. 12 to 22, 2026, with more than 450 events celebrating midcentury modern architecture, art, interior and landscape design, and vintage culture.
The 11-day festival will feature tours of iconic architectural homes, the Palm Springs Modernism Show, open-air double-decker bus tours, walking and biking excursions, tours of the Annenberg Estate at Sunnylands, retro-themed parties and talks by speakers from around the world. The event schedule is available for preview now at modernismweek.com, and tickets go on sale Nov. 1 at 12 p.m.

Preservation focus
Chairman William Kopelk said preservation remains central to the festivalโs mission.
โI am very proud that many Modernism Week activities continue to focus on preservation and restoration,โ said Kopelk. โPreservation of architectural heritage is one of the cornerstones of Modernism Weekโs mission. Our high-quality events help raise awareness about the importance of preserving architecture and focus on conservation efforts to rehabilitate historic buildings in Palm Springs and beyond.โ
The festival will host the 2026 World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize Ceremony on Feb. 18. The event, which carries a $20 admission fee, will be held outside New York City for the first time. The prize recognizes individuals and organizations that preserve modern built heritage through architectural and design solutions. The recipient will be announced Jan. 20, 2026.
Honoring Nelda Linsk
Longtime Palm Springs resident Nelda Linsk will be honored during the festival with multiple events. The celebration begins with a free Walk-Of-Stars Rededication on Feb. 12, where the words โFirst Lady of Modernism Weekโ will be added to her star. A program titled โThis Is Your Life, Nelda Linskโ will take place Feb. 19 for $25, followed by a screening of โPoolside Gossip, More Than a Photographโ on Feb. 21 for $10.
Featured home tours
Two featured home tours will be offered this year. The Soleil House, a 1963 home renovated by designer Trina Turk, will be open Feb. 12 to 18 and Feb. 20 to 22 for $65, with sunset receptions available for $125. The Marquee at Twin Palms, a 1957 residence reimagined by H3K Home + Design, will be available for tours Feb. 13 to 16 and Feb. 20 to 22 for $40.
Additional home tours include the Signature Home Tour on Feb. 15 and 22 for $150, the Palm Desert Signature Home Tour on Feb. 17 for $100, and the La Quinta Country Club Signature Home Tour on Feb. 19 for $200. Garden tours of the Kaufmann Residence, designed by Richard Neutra in 1946, will be offered on select dates for $85.
Architectural bus tours
The Premier Double Decker Architectural Bus Tour will run throughout the festival for $130. Other bus tours include Bella da Ballโs Celebrity Homes Bus Tour, the Charles Phoenix tour, the Illuminated Twilight Bus Tour, and Sinatraโs Rat Pack Homes & Hangouts Bus Tour, with prices ranging from $100 to $160.
Neighborhood tours
Fifteen neighborhood tours will be available, including five new tours such as Alta Revealed, Andreas Hills II, Casa Dorado at Indian Wells, Firebird Estates, and a tour with author Daniel Chavkin. Prices range from $60 to $150.

Parties and special events
The Modernism Week Opening Night Party: Modernist Motown will take place Feb. 12 for $350. The Preview Party for the Palm Springs Modernism Show is set for Feb. 13 at $150. Other parties include events at the Soleil House, The Marquee at Twin Palms, Liberaceโs former home, and the Clark Gable and Carole Lombard Estate.
Special events include the Vintage Trailer Show on Feb. 21 and 22 for $30, and a progressive dinner party in Indian Canyons on Feb. 14 for $330. PS UNDERGROUND will present four dinner shows, including SITCOM, Palm Springs Holiday, and Queens of Soul and Jazz.
Educational talks
Nearly 80 talks, panel discussions and films will be offered. Featured presentations include โStories Untold โ Rebuilding Futures: Japanese American Designers in the Wake of Internmentโ on Feb. 16, and โModernism and the Future of Housing: A Symposiumโ on Feb. 21.
Modernism Week is a charitable organization that provides scholarships to local students pursuing college educations in architecture and design and gives grants to organizations working to preserve modernist architecture throughout California.
