Have something to say about the planned College of the Desert (COD) campus in Palm Springs? You’ll want to make note of a series of upcoming meetings.
Driving the news: On Monday, COD officials announced a series of public meetings designed to expedite schematic design plans for the college’s planned campus in the city, which has been in the works for decades. The first one happens this week.
- In February, the college’s Board of Trustees approved moving forward with schematic design plans for the campus in Palm Springs, but also promised to invite review of the final plans.
Next steps: During the meetings announced Monday the management team for the project will review changes, receive a briefing on the project’s current status, discuss board direction, all in the hope of expediting the schematic design. The public is invited to attend and comments are welcome.
Details: The first of four meetings through June takes place on Wednesday, March 22, starting at 9:30 a.m., both online and in person at the Student Services Center at the COD Palm Desert campus.
- The meeting schedule, agenda, meeting links and presentations for PSDP public meetings will be posted on the college website and on the COD bond Palm Springs project page.
