Two dead, three wounded in reported motorcycle club shooting in remote portion of city

Police are investigating a late-night shooting at an industrial complex north of Interstate 10 that left two people dead and three others injured.

Palm Springs police are investigating a shooting in this area that left two people dead early Saturday.

Two people were killed and three others wounded early Saturday morning after gunfire broke out at a private motorcycle club event in Palm Springs.

According to a Palm Springs Police Department spokesperson, officers responded to the 19400 block of North Indian Canyon Drive at approximately 12:30 a.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a fight, gunshots, and a victim down in a parking lot.

When officers arrived, they found two adults suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Three other individuals with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds were independently transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Preliminary information indicates a motorcycle club was hosting a private event at an industrial complex in the area when an altercation broke out among those in attendance and shots were fired.

Callers also reported seeing several individuals leave the scene on motorcycles following the shooting.

Formal identification of the two deceased victims will be handled by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.

Detectives are continuing to process the scene and interview witnesses as they work to determine what led to the shooting and identify those involved.
