School district plans weekend event focused on wellness for all family members

The Palm Springs Unified School District is hosting a self-care and wellness fair this weekend, reminding parents that the district can help families in more ways than one.

  • Albert Pooley will present the keynote speech, which will focus on generational trauma and healthy relationships between parents and children. 

Why it matters: PSUSD has resources for families that go beyond educational help. The district’s Family Engagement Center gets parents connected with services, including language learning, positive parenting programs, and tech help.

What else: Saturday’s wellness fair will include more than just workshops and speeches — there will also be fun activities for kids of all ages, including face painting, balloon animals, a bubble machine and raffle prizes.
