Movies in the park series planned starting June 15

Before Marilyn Monroe was a flashpoint of heated debate in the city, she was a movie star. What better way to bring everyone together than enjoying her movies with your community.

No matter what side of the debate about the Marilyn Monroe statue you fall on, here’s something we can hopefully all agree on — free movies!

Outdoor screening: The Palm Springs Cultural Center is presenting Movies in the Park, a series of outdoor screenings at the new Downtown Park, each one showcasing an iconic Marilyn Monroe film.

Mark your calendar: The series starts with a bang Wednesday, June 15, with The Seven Year Itch at 8 p.m.
