March For Our Lives event planned in city to address gun violence

Recent tragedies in Buffalo, Uvalde, and Tulsa are just the latest reminder that mass shootings happen with depressing regularity in the United States.

The Desert Stonewall Democrats announced this weekend they are helping organize a March For Our Lives rally in the city.

The news: March For Our Lives is a nationwide effort by the survivors of the 2018 Parkland, Fla., school shooting to draw attention to the country’s gun violence epidemic. Efforts are underway for gatherings throughout the country this coming weekend. 

  • The Palm Springs event will take place Saturday, June 11, at 9 a.m. at Frances Stevens Park, located at 500 North Palm Canyon Dr.
