Legendary disco group Sister Sledge to headline Palm Springs Pride Festival

Sister Sledge, the iconic disco group known for their anthem “We Are Family,” will take center stage at the Palm Springs Pride Festival on Nov. 2. The free performance is scheduled for 8 p.m. on the main stage along Palm Canyon Drive.
The group’s appearance headlines a diverse lineup of performers at the annual celebration, which runs from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3. The festival promotes unity, diversity, and equality under the 2024 theme “Be You.”

“Pride in Palm Springs is a celebration where you can be yourself and be true to who you are,” said Ron deHarte, Palm Springs Pride president and CEO. “The theme reinforces the city’s reputation of cherishing the value and dignity of all people.”
Sister Sledge’s performance is expected to feature their chart-topping hits, including “He’s the Greatest Dancer” and “Lost in Music.” The group joins a roster of notable acts spread across multiple stages throughout the four-day event.
Other headliners include Neon Trees, set to perform on the Arenas Stage on Oct. 31, and a George Michael Reborn tribute act on the Palm Canyon Drive Main Stage on Nov. 3. Brian Justin Crum, known for his appearances on “America’s Got Talent,” will take the stage at Oscar’s on Nov. 2.
The festival kicks off with a “Big Bang Blast-Off” featuring one of the city’s favorite entertainers, Modgirl, on the Palm Canyon Main Stage on Nov. 1. Jesika Von Rabbit, described as “a musical whirlwind of technicolor and twisted genius,” returns to the main stage on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
The festival’s multiple stages offer a variety of entertainment options. The Arenas Stage will host takeovers by Desert Air Festival and Fire Island Pines, featuring DJs and performers from across the country. The Palm Canyon Drive Main Stage showcases local talents like the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus and Steven Michael’s Dance Machine.
Oscar’s Stage, located at Tahquitz and Indian Canyon Road, presents a mix of drag performances, dance shows, and live music. Pretty Poison featuring Jade Starling is scheduled to perform there on Nov. 3.
A Pride DJ Stage at Tahquitz and Palm Canyon Drive will keep the energy high throughout the festival, with a full lineup of DJs to be announced.
The celebration culminates with the annual Pride Parade on Nov. 3, starting at 10 a.m. in Uptown at Palm Canyon Drive and Tachevah.
