The Chamber of Commerce notes, “Rogers has captivated audiences for decades, building a legacy in television history.”
Dr. Supple, a respected physician and community leader, will be posthumously awarded the 472nd star on Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. His star, located at 538 N. Palm Canyon Dr., honors his civic contributions and pioneering work in Palm Springs.
Dr. Supple moved to Palm Springs in 1967 and quickly became a vital part of the community. He earned the nickname “Doctor to the Stars” for treating Hollywood celebrities like William Holden, Red Skelton, and Steve McQueen.
Deeply committed to community service, Dr. Supple led efforts as President of the United Way of the Desert and served as Chairman of the Airport Commission, helping modernize Palm Springs International Airport.
He also founded the Palm Springs Academy of Medicine and pioneered HMO-style healthcare outside of Los Angeles, making medical care more affordable for thousands of Southern Californians.
The public is welcome to attend both star unveiling ceremonies in downtown Palm Springs.
