The Administrative Appeals Board meets Wednesday at 2 p.m. to consider whether to uphold a $20,257.34 bill tied to the city’s removal of an unpermitted cinder block wall at 1442 East Padua Way. The city removed the wall last year under a court-issued abatement warrant after months of code enforcement proceedings. The property owner is appealing the amount of the fees, which include contractor, staff and legal costs.
Later Wednesday, the Airport Commission meets at 4 p.m. Topics include aircraft noise regulations, retail and concessions planning, capital improvement updates and a proposal to cap funding collected under the airport’s 1% for art policy for upcoming fiscal years.
The Architectural Review Committee meets Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., with a major affordable housing project on its agenda. Commissioners will review plans for an 82-unit, 100% affordable apartment development at 305 West San Rafael Drive. The panel will also consider a proposed 90,468-square-foot mini-warehouse and RV parking facility near North Gene Autry Trail and District Center Drive, as well as a hillside single-family home on Cahuilla Hills Drive.
On Thursday, the Measure J Oversight Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. for updates on the Palm Springs Convention Center, a fire station presentation and a January budget update. The City Council’s Finance Subcommittee will also meet Thursday at 2 p.m.
Most meetings are held at City Hall at 3200 East Tahquitz Canyon Way and are available via Zoom. The Airport Commission meets at the airport conference room, 3400 East Tahquitz Canyon Way.
