June 9 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Join us on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 3:30 pm for Leave No Trace with the Whitewater Preserve. Ever heard the adage: Take only pictures, leave only footprints? Learn about the basic principles of Leave No Trace, and how to apply them to your outdoor adventures. We’ll test your knowledge and then create poster art. Grades 6-12.

Presented by:

As the Education Coordinator for the Deserts, she has had lots of practice in teaching students how to Leave No Trace and understands the importance of safe and respectful recreation outdoors.
  • LaDonna Sofranko (she/her) Naturalist, Desert Preserves. LaDonna has been traversing the trails of Coachella Valley for years. As an avid backpacker, she has lots of experiencing in Leaving No Trace, even in the backcountry!
