Opening reception for Marconi Calindas: Life in Color

Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Film Festival is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year! Be a part of the celebration and join us for the an art exhibition opening from a previous award winner: Marconi Calindas. “Marconi Calindas: Life in Color” opens September 10 and will run the duration of the film festival: September 15 – 18, and September 22 -25 and be open for public viewing during theater operating hours through Palm Springs PRIDE. The exhibition includes Calindas’ new masterpieces depicting “heroes of the past and the inspiration of today.” Calindas dabbles on black lines and pure hues as his trademarks of distinctive rendering style, with subject matters varying from pop icons to triumphs of the human spirit.

PRINCESA will also be screened at the art exhibition opening night reception on Sept. 10. The reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the screening of the short at 7 p.m., and a panel discussion with the artist will take place after the screening.
