Chorale in the Coachella Valley — “Bach to Broadway”

The California Desert Chorale continues its 29th season as the premiere Chorale in the Coachella Valley with “Bach to Broadway” on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 3:00 PM. This previously announced concert, prior to COVID-19 shutdowns, will be held at the Hope Lutheran Church in Palm Desert. The Chorale is suggesting a donation of $20, but patrons are encouraged to give as generously as they can to support the programs of the California Desert Chorale. “Bach to Broadway,” will feature three of J.S. Bach’s most famous works including “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “Sheep May Safely Graze” and “Bist Du Bei Mir,’ along with a host of the very best of Broadway. Featured musical theater composers will include “Porgy & Bess – A Choral Medley” by George Gershwin, “The Sound of Music” by Richard Rodgers, “Everything’s Coming Up Roses” from Gypsy by Jules Styne, “Morning Glow” from Pippin by Stephen Schwartz and “Music of the Night” from Phantom of the Opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
“Bach to Broadway,” will be accompanied by a chamber ensemble of strings, winds, brass and percussion. These concerts are guaranteed to elevate your spirit and have the audience singing along.
