Although historically under-appreciated in the art world, the “fiber arts” have been an essential component of the human experience since the dawn of time. And while no art show on earth could possibly explore all of that fiber art history — the clothes, the rugs, the tapestries and the sewing — we are convinced that these three artists present a compelling splice of contemporary fiber arts.

The opening reception for this show, which runs until Jan. 23, will be on Saturday, Jan. 7. The show features Matthew Downham, Christopher Rowley and Nikki Virbitsky.
